Dominext Magazine May 2014 The Business Issue | Page 15

DM: What artists inspired you to become involved with Hip Hop?

BHN: No one artist specifically, I just found myself writing every day. Putting my thoughts on paper and I loved listening to other artist. One day my mom met a cat in New Carrollton mall. He was trying to talk to her at first she got in his business about what he does professionally. He tells her he is a CEO of his own Rap Label and he has a roster of artist. Of course moms had seen the work being put in by me with all the words on paper. So she tells him her son raps, he sets up a meeting and then from then on

I’m a rapper. The CEO nearly taught me everything I know.

DM: What is your favorite album of all time if you could just pick one?

BHN: Last of a dying breed -Scarface

DM: What is your ultimate goal at the end of your career?

BHN: To be a Household name . Legendary

Now that all this music is complete and ready for the world, I’m now Immortal!!!

I will live through my music forever eternally. When I’m long gone you can still feel me/hear me.

DM: Any singles you want us to look out for from the upcoming project?

BHN: "Monumental", "Haters", "Imma Do It Again", if I name anything else the CD it might sound like I’m sicing it!!! Just get it, I promise I won’t disappoint the listeners.

DM: What obstacles did you have to overcome to get this far?

BHN: Death, Poverty, Longsuffering, Unemployment, Eviction, Conviction, Murder, Etc.

DM: Do you aspire to one day make it big in Hollywood or are you ok with just doing your music?

BHN: I want to be able to help the people around me, so Im not really into it for the FAME.

If I can make my music and reap the fruits of my labor I’m Cool.

DM: What are the things about being a rapper that you most enjoy?

BHN: The ability to touch people with the same emotions we all feel as humans. When a person says “man the such and such song is tight”. Or “When I wake every morning I play that such and such song”.

DM: Is there any advice you'd like to give to young aspiring rappers?

BHN: Stay down. W.a.s.t.e Out (wandering and survive through everything)

DM: Where can we reach out to you and hear your mixtape/album? and is it for sale?
