Promoting holistic youth crime prevention : the use of sport and sportbased learning to reach at-risk youth
The UNODC Youth Crime Prevention through Sport initiative and the Line Up Live Up programme promotes sport as a vehicle to build life skills , increase adaptive and positive behaviour , and address vulnerabilities linked to violence , crime and drug use .
This event provides an overview of the impact of the initiative to date and showcases examples of sport-based interventions for violence and crime prevention across the globe .
