WAO 2013 - team Argentina
This will be your 1st World Championship as a team manager . How you organize the team trainings before the competition ... you have made gatherings ...
Training with the team as a whole is .. nearly impossible . Only Karina and I train in the same facility , but I have the advantage of knowing Nicole & Roy too ( who train on another group ) an trained for a year or two with Leticia & Soju when she lived here ( these days she lives in Senega so you can say that I know the strong and weak points of most of the dogs on our delegation . A far as Fernando ’ s dog , Pepa , and Jorge ’ s , Daxa & Jack , I ’ ve seen plenty of videos to get a strong idea of what we have , and I am confident on what each duo ( dog + handler ) can do .
Since training together is not a possibility , I am constantly taking notes of things we need to w on ( sequences or specific styles the Judges have , and so on ), plus things that might be useful to practice such as the agility games , and get the dogs used to the team-relay format for example those things we don ’ t have here since we run only by FCI ’ s standard rules and regulations .
We have arranged a dinner when we ’ re all in Madrid , and a separate training together , but it wi happen shortly before the competition ... although it is very important to at least get aknowled with one another previous to the championship ! I ’ m truly looking forward to that !
