Lori Michaels has been involved in the“ dog world” since 1983. After earning national honors in the 4-H Dog program, becoming the first 4-H member to earn an NCDA agility title in the early ' 90 ' s and competing in AKC and UKC obedience trials, she focused her attention to training assistance dogs at Kansas Specialty Dog Service. As coordinator of the Service Dog program, she implemented new positive training protocols to help shape more highly skilled partners for people with disabilities. She was active on several committees of Assistance Dogs International setting the standards and ethics of placing assistance dogs. At the 2011 WAO she placed 3rd in the Individual Agility Pentathlon( height 650). Last year she won the Games Championship and finished 3rd in Biathlon!
