Moment of 2016: My most memorable moment of 2016 was
standing in the middle of the Best of Breed ring at the Poodle
National, feeling awestruck, humbled and thrilled to see that
my favorite variety [Miniatures] was still here! All the pieces
for the future are right in front of us; we can still make them
like we used to.
Wish for 2017: In 2017, may we all come together in peace
with the common purpose of making the world a truly wonderful place to be.
Moment of 2016: This year has exceeded my wildest expectations! ‘Nik’ winning Best in Show and his daughter ‘Smitty’going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best Bred-by Exhibitor and Grand Maturity at the Akita Club of America National
Specialty Show under three breeder-judges has to be my fondest memory.
Wish for 2017: My wish for 2017 is continued health and
happiness.

Winning the breed with our Saluki puppy his first weekend
Moment of 2016: Without question, my most memorable moment in 2016 was on Father’s Day at 4:30 p.m., when a kidney
stone decided this man should know what childbirth is like!
Wish for 2017: For 2017 I wish the world would start to
heal from this past year of devastating pain from the natural
and human disasters we have had
to face.
Kathy Caton-Musto
Moment of 2016: My most memorable moment of 2016 was showing
my Cane Corso to Best of Breed at
Westminster Kennel Club for my
husband, the owner of Leandro.
Dave Musto came into my life
at the right time and has shown
me how to live life to the fullest.
He is fairly new into the dog show
