As a woman, do you feel a man’s style and fashion sense is important? Absolutely, and I believe a man’s style and fashion sense can start at a very young age. I think it’s important for men and women to experiment and express themselves with fashion by creating their own unique style. This takes confidence, as it is much easier to just follow the trends to ‘blend” in and fit in with the crowd. I recommend people work towards creating a “signature” look with classic, quality basic pieces that can be built upon as needed to incorporate a few trendy pieces to always be au courant. Which country do you think has the best style? Well it’s hard not to think of Europe when thinking about fashion. That said, we’re all about fashion and style trends here in America – with an economy thriving on the “new looks” for fall, spring etc. Would you say Californian men dress well in general, and why? I worked in very large law firms on the East Coast and grew quite accustom to seeing men in suits and ties. When I moved to California in the early 90’s I did notice men here dressed more casually in general. I think men in California dress to be comfortable. I also think one of the benefits of living in a place as amazing as California is that the pace of life is a bit more relaxed than say across the country in New York City. A man can look just as handsome in a well fitting cotton dress shirt and jeans as he would in a suit and tie. I believe a
