So what does Jon think of fashion? What would you say your achievements have been so far? • Being a finalist on ITV Superstar and working with my Idols, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mel C, Jason Donovan and the great Dawn French has to be a major achievement. • Working on the same stage as people like Paloma Faith, Keiser Chief. • Being able to support charities by nothing more than singing and presenting. • Releasing my Debut album ‘Better Man‘ • Being a Director of my own company L’amore What is your favourite item of clothing and why? • Blue shiny jacket – I can wear it anywhere and goes with anything. What is your favourite fashion brand and why? • I like any brand that has class and offers something different and original. I’m liking a bit of ZARA at the minute. What do you feel makes a man stylish? • A confidence in his own personality, the ability to reflect that in his image and make decisions on clothing and image that compliments the image he wants to project. Having style is very important. What style of fashion do you think doesn’t look good on a man? • Anything that looks ill fitted and shabby I think it gives a really negative image. These days you really don’t need to spend a lot of money to make sure you have a crisp image. What is the most expensive item of clothing you have ever bought? • Hahahha well lets just say its 1k plus.... and if my girlfriend asks...of course it was one of her dresses. Do you feel appearance influences your career? • Without question your appearance influences your career and you have to take responsibility of that if you have goals and aspirations. I will always present myself in a positive way as I’m not only representing me, I represent the companies I perform for and they’re branding. What do you feel a gentleman means to you? • A gentleman is having the self-security of knowing your masculinity and not having to enforce that in a primate way then becoming arrogant. It’s having the respect of the environment around you and who is within that. You must be given the title by the actions you do. I believe in class, not your financial status, education or background, but the option we all have to project the very best of ourselves and be a gentleman. Has becoming famous meant you have had to change your dress sense? • I have always took pride in my appearance and been very confident in my style, but the last two years I have had to make sure I reflect myself well and the people who I work with so I might spend that little extra time in front of the mirror or looking for clothes. - 26 -
