colours that you can pair coganc with, keep in
mind that sometimes the best looks come out
of pairing neutrals together, like how Sam Smith
did in the picture below.
Sam Smith does an excellent job of working
Cognac into his wardrobe with a sleek knee
-length pea coat. Not only is the colour of this
coat on trend but its minimal silhouette is also
fashion-forward, especially when paired with a
sharp black button up, gray vest, black slacks
and modern black and white dress shoes. This is
a look that can easily be emulated, whether for a
night out, the office or a date.
It should come as no surprise that David Beckham, notorious for his effortlessly cool style,
looks great in aluminum. His aluminum three
piece suit is fashion-forward when paired with a
white button up shirt and navy and white polka-dot tie. Overall, the styling isn’t too fussy and
allows the aluminum suit to stand on its own.
Cognac
Cognac, a rich carmel colour, is one of the more
neutral hues presented in the Pantone Fall 2014
Colour Report. However, just because it’s not
as extroverted as the rest of the colour report,
it doesn’t mean you have to style it in a boring
way. Coganc looks best with colours that share
its intensity like misted yellow and olive green,
or colours like radiant orchid and aurora red
for a more unique look. Despite all these great
Bright Cobalt
Bright Cobalt is one of the biggest, and best (in
my opinion), colour trends for men this season.
Bright Cobalt makes a huge statement, and it’s
not a colour for a guy looking to blend in with
the crowd. However, if you’re willing to take on
the challenge of a colour as intense as bright
cobalt, I can assure you it’ll be worth it. Bright
cobalt can be incorporated into your wardrobe
in a variety of ways. Whether it’s a flashy pair of
socks, a bow tie or a scarf. If
you really want to make a
statement, wearing a full bright
cobalt garment, like Daniel
Radcliffe did, is a good way to
go about doing it.
While Daniel Radcliffe isn’t
necessarily the first person that
comes to mind when I think of
innovative men’s style, he does
a great job here of rocking
bright cobalt. His bright cobalt
blazer is absolutely striking in
contrast with the red carpet
surrounding him. The best part
about the look is how he does
not hold back in any way. His
double monk shoes, striped
button up and sunglasses
bring the look full circle and
keep it very “now.”
