Countess Bathory( 16-17 centuries), a relative of Vlad Tepes Dracula, noble and incredibly rich aristocrat. Descendants remembered her for numerous murders of women and death in prison. Historians still cannot come to a consensus- whether Elizabeth Báthory was cold-blooded serial killer or just a victim of political intrigue? Because the majority of rumors appeared after the death of the Countess. However, it is known that the countess loved to take rejuvenating baths, according to one of the accusation – bloody baths. It is said that recipe of blood rejuvenating Bathory found by accident. Hungarian historian Turotsi said about it this way:‘‘ Once one of gentlewoman, combing her mistress’ s head, was guilty in something and for her mistake had such a strong slap into the face, that the blood splattered in mistress’ s face. When the countess wiped the blood from her face, it seemed to her that the skin at that place was much more beautiful, whiter and thinner. She immediately decided to wash her face, and the whole body in human blood to increase her beauty and attractiveness.’’
