Competition 5 yrs + Friday 2 June Calling all paper airplane experts! Want to be in a Paper Airplane Competition? See how far and how long your airplanes will fly? This will be a fun way to learn about how things fly! And there is a prize for the winner. Up to 2 children per adult.

Coding for Young Children
5-7 yrs Saturday 3 & Thursday 8 June Come along to a fun children’ s coding session using the ScratchJr app and find out how to do lots of easy projects for the smaller members of the family. Learning together basic building blocks for coding pictures that move and dance! If you have a tablet please bring it with the ScratchJr app installed. Up to two children sharing a tablet with a parent / guardian.

Discover Britannica Online 5 yrs + Monday 5 June Explore Redbridge Libraries amazing online encyclopaedia in this fun workshop and you’ ll be shown how to get on to this at home with your library card. Up to 2 children per adult.

Be Smart, Choose Art
Workshop Families 7-12 yrs Saturday 10 June Arty Villains for Families! Come with your children and create villains from children’ s books. Explore your favourite villain from authors like Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss and make book covers with Artist Jodie Sadler. This workshop is suitable for beginners. Children will be working on A5 sized paper in this 90 minute family learning event; up to 2 children aged 7-12 to be accompanied by an adult. All inks, papers and tools will be provided. Please wear old clothing as it might be messy!

Look out for the Summer Reading Challenge 2017 in Redbridge Libraries which challenges 5 to 12 year olds to read 6 books over the Summer Holidays to win prizes, a medal and certificate. It’ s a great way to keep up your reading over the summer and you can read any fiction or non-fiction titles to gain prizes!
