AFN BC’s Director, Lt. Col. Catina Barnes, held her first Director’s Call, with Kevin Davis starting things off with some comedy.
The Director also passed out 1st Place Media Awards to Marketing and Promotion, and civilian service certificates to Charlie
Gill, Jim Alexander, and Curt Eckstein. Sherry Reiter, Ellis Davis and Cesare Hernandez also received civilian service
certificates but weren’t at the Director’s Call.

In honor of Rick “Hawaii Shirt Friday” Blackburn, a number of AFN
BC staffers donned the same garb at his going away luncheon.
Blackburn was on temporary duty as acting AFN BC Director.
