How did you come up with the name of the band?
I love this question. I was originally searching through an old western dictionary and stumbled
upon the word "Jingler" which means "a person who talks in rhyme or who drinks a lot" and I
thought it was really fitting for a rock band, so I came up with "The Jinglers" which seemed a little
light for my taste. Late one night a couple of weeks later, I was playing drums in my studio in an
industrial area and decided to take a walk. When I came across a cemetery, it just came to me,
"The Grave Jinglers." After thinking about it further, the name had so many cool connotations
and meanings that I couldn't help but to stick with it.
Where can people find out more about the band?
www.reverbnation.com/thegravejinglers OR www.thegravejinglers.com
What are your goals for the future? Where do you hope to be in 2 years?
Our short term goal is to record a full length album to be released sometime in the spring of
2014. Though we're a very new band, things have actually been moving pretty fast and we've
already been booked at a local festival, so we hope to continue getting shows like this. We think
our music goes over pretty well in that environment.
What recording studio do you use?
I recorded at Vudu Studios in Port Jefferson, NY. Great ears and personalities there.
If i grabbed your Ipod from you, what would i find you listening to right now?
Portishead. They are so creepily seductive and gloomy, but it puts me in a good mood for some
reason.
How would you define "success" for the band?
I already consider the band a success since we are making go od music and enjoy playing together, though it would be nice to make a decent living doing so.
