What sacrifices have you had to make to do what you love? I sacrifice everything for this art. That’s what you do when you love something. In 95’ I drove from CT to LA and attended Musicians Institute. I didn’t have the money to go, so I charged it on a credit card (without a job!) and went for it. Fortunately I scored a couple of grants and got through it. I attended Pierce College and studied classical music for a couple of years after that. I was determined to make a living with my guitar- and I did for a long time. Now I live only for the music and money means nothing except to serve as a vehicle to further the creative element. I took the red pill know what I mean? (just like in the Matrix) Who did you get your musical talent from? Practice makes perfect. Or the illusion of perfection anyway… How did you come up with the name of the band? We were looking for a name that didn’t scream METAL! We wanted something that was a bit neutral. Where can people find out more about the band? www.edgeofparadiseband.com or ask us anything on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/EdgeOfParadiseBand?fref=ts What are your goals for the future? Where do you hope to be in 2 years? To continue to grow as a band. The music keeps evolving and that’s exciting. We want to be a band that is defined by the music we create. Where that music takes us; only the future knows. But we're already got a European festival lined up, Underwall Festival in Croatia in June 2014! What recording studio do you use? We have worked at many, on “Mask” we demo-ed everything at Edge Of Paradise studios, then tracked at August Again in Simi Valley with Bob Pace and at Melrose studios in Hollywood with David Williams. On “Perfect Shade of Black” we again demo-ed at our place, then went to Office studios to track and fine tune the songs with Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen, from there we sent everything to Michael Wagener at Wireworld in Nashville to be mixed. We also re-worked a bonus track for the disc at Eargasm studios in Santa Monica.
