Which came first, the philosophy
or the practice?
Keeping ourselves as safe and healthy as
possible is a part of human nature. We don’t
set out into the world to intentionally harm
o u r s e l ve s , ra t h e r w e d o w h a t w e’ r e a b l e
to based on what is available to us in the
c i r c u m s t a n c e s o f o u r l i v e s . R e m e m b e r, j u s t
because an option exists theoretically for
all of us, doesn’t mean it’s accessible to or
realistic for all of us.
