Dust & Grooves
Dust & Grooves was conceptualized and introduced as a monthly event at our Sunday sessions
known as Play For Passion in March 2015
As the many tags or sentences that was brought to life by our creative artist Jay Fong:

T h e f a c t t h a t m o s t o f u s D J s w h o s t a r t e d s p i n n i n g v i n y l h a d a c o l l e c t i o n o f d a n c e /e l e c t r o n i c a
t r a c k s i n o u r c r a t e s s t o r e d a w a y s o m e w h e r e c o l l e c t i n g “ d u s t ”, h a d a g o o d e n o u g h r e a s o n t o s e t
t h e m o t i o n i n p l a y.
The more recent reason that contributed to the adventure was that many young, talented &
upcoming DJs in the scene were already using the turntables as a medium for their sets, which
made it possible for another venue to host a jam.
B a s i c a l l y, i t i s a n e f f o r t t h a t g a v e b i r t h i n M a r c h b r o u g h t t o g e t h e r a v a r i e d i n t e r e s t b u n c h o f
aficionado DJs to strut their passion on the “ Wheels of Steel” which literally means, to spin music
again for the die-hard fans of vinyl.

As we move forward past their first anniversary jam, we look to more “Vinyl Addicts” participating
in the experience spreading the love for vinyl as passionate way of expressing themselves.
We also have a Masterclass session from 3:00 – 5:00 PM every Sunday for those who would like to
explore and learn more using turntables, which is conducted by Kumaraza & Bernie.
Once a month on the last Sunday of the month, all DJs are invited to jam together physical
original vinyl or vinyl timecodes.
