Assa Abloy’s Research & Development investments have increased by 129% since 2005. Our ambition is to be the industry’s most innovative company, and in the first half of 2013 more than 26% of our sales came from new products launched in the past three years,” he says. In the fast-growing electromechanical security segment, the group has a leading position in areas such as access control, identification technology, entrance automation and hotel security. Since its formation in 1994, it has grown from a regional company into an international group with some 43 000 employees operating in more than 70 countries.
