Abendroth
heads new a.b.e.
Division
Noel Abendroth has been appointed
Manager of a.b.e. Construction
Chemicals’ new Polyurea Performance
Coatings Division. Boksburg-based
a.b.e. Construction Chemicals is part
of the Chryso Southern Africa Group.
Abendroth started his career
in construction chemicals in 1984
when he joined the now defunct
Marley SA Chemicals Division, which
incorporated specialised and wood
coatings, as well as waterproofing
products. His career subsequently
led to experience in single-pack
moisture cure polyurethanes,
protective coatings and wear liners.
He spent two years in the
epoxy and concrete industries in
the Middle East and then, back
in South Africa, joined National
Urethane Industries (NUI) in 2007 as
Abendroth is a
founder member
of the African
Waterproofing
Institute (AWI) and
a certified National
Association
of Corrosion
Engineers (NACE
International)
Coatings Inspector
Program (CIP),
Level 1 Inspector
Sales Manager with responsibilities
that included starting the company’s
Specialised Spray Division which
included Polyurea wear liners and
Thin Skin Linings (TSL).
His new position at a.b.e.
Construction Chemicals involves
spearheading the company’s subSaharan African distribution of Voelkel
Industrie Produkte (VIP) of Germany’s
Polyurea and Performance Coatings.
Abendroth is a founder member of
the African Waterproofing Institute
(AWI) and a certified National
Association of Corrosion Engineers
(NACE International) Coatings
Inspector Program (CIP), Level 1
Inspector.
