Jack’s Paint was established in 1948 by Jack Cohen. Cohen originally
worked as a paint consultant for a major paint manufacturer, and
through his training and years of experience he decided to open his own
store. His decision to offer the community a quality service, affordable
paint, and of course competent advice, led to the establishment of the
philosophy that underpins Jack’s Paint & Hardware today.

Currently EST is on a recruitment drive to entrench its national footprint.
This, according to Rob Suttle, Merchandise Director, has been made very
easy due to the transparent nature of the group model and the fact that all
members are also shareholders in the company. This setup makes for easy
communication and trust within the group.
This model is highly appreciated by independent traders as there are no
hidden agendas between EST and its members/shareholders.
