DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #5 February 2016 | Page 4

Above you can see three videos direct

from Intellijel using their new Rainmaker

in 3 different ways. The first video in full

random mode, the second treating some

drums from the Miami 808 clone and the

third creating Karplus Strong synthesis

patches. The Rainmaker is complex

spectral delay processor made in

collaboration with Cylonix. It's 16 delay

lines and 16 filters and will do anything form long evolving delays to short audio rate karplus strong style sounds. Not much is out there in terms of specs other than Danjel running down the features in NAMM coverage videos, so check out Sonic State's video HERE to get the feature run down. It's an in depth module that I'm certainly hoping to get a chance to dive into.

Ok so this one is a bit of a tease as there's a good chance most of us can't get one! ALM Busy Circuits have teamed up with Russell Haswell to create a new darker and harsher version of the Dinky's Taiko drum module (check my video demo HERE - Dinky's Taiko is awesome). It features a bank of 30 waveforms all hand drawn by Russell Haswell. Some stores have limited stock (the whole run was only 100 modules) and some stock was available direct. Check out the video from ALM by clicking HERE and be quick to get looking for one as they won't last long.

Error Instruments have just released “Hard Candy” a new experimental VCO

perfect for drones, noise, bleeps and

glitches. You can modulate and mess with

the 10 different CV outputs on the patch

bay in the center of the module. It won’t

track 1v/oct so don’t approach it like a

normal VCO but rather (to quote the site)

“half fertas / wogglebug / experimental

VCO”. The first small run all comes with

sweets & a mini picnic basket ... cute!
