DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #4 January 2016 | Page 2

First up a big happy new year to everyone! Thanks for all the support in 2015. It's been amazing both from the manufacturers of modules and the users / viewers / readers who check my stuff out. A bigger thank you to those that comment and share the content too! One thing I would like to put to people is the idea of raffling off some of the modules I review / own as a way supporting those who support me through Patreon. If the support raises enough each month to warrant it, I'd like to give each supporter a raffle ticket to enter some sort of giveaway. As you can probably tell this isn't very fleshed out yet, so I'm open to ideas. So get in touch! As always everything underlined is a link so click away to check stuff out.

What better module to feature as module of the month than one that you're currently having enormous fun with. Well Audio Damage's Dimensions is that module for me at the minute. It's a stereo chorus module with mono to stereo (great for creating a stereo image from your standard mono signal paths) or true stereo operation. It has two modes, one based on Audio Damage's Fluid plug in (which is great!) and a more standard Roland Dimension D BBD style chorus. My favourite thing is the reverb like qualities I'm getting out of the Fluid mode. It’s great under modulation for odd bursts of more reverberant textures. Be sure to check out the official video from Audio Damage right HERE and I might just do a video myself I'm loving it that much!

So as usual this section isn’t about breaking news or anything really modular related in most cases. But it is a place just to share a few things from around the internet worth checking out. The first piece of content is modular related and is a video from FACT magazine covering ‘Machines In Music - New York’s Modular Synth Fair’. As many people often don’t have chance to get to synth events it’s great to see event videos so people can see what goes on . . . or maybe that rubs it in a bit? Click HERE for the video.

Next up is ‘a tribute to real analogue’ with

Steve Gay and Bob Williams from

Analogue Systems. Not much else to say

really other than it’s great to hear them talk

about their work. So click HERE for the

video or watch it right here in the

magazine.
