DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #20 | Page 15

Many years ago I bought an early Moog Sonic Six as part of my synth collection and it had the earlier Diode ladder filter from the Musonics Sonic V synth, which had a very much more aggressive, punchy feel than the Moog transistor ladder filter. This made it a great candidate for the VCF section as it is quite different and with the bandpass and 6dB LP modes that I added it covers a lot of ground, so it was perfect for the VCF part of the module.

Your latest line of modules extend the MiniMod range with the expanded envelope, dual LFO and utilities. Do you think that's as far as you'll extend the MiniMod range?

I’m sure that there’s scope for a few more modules, a Sample and Hold and Envelope Follower would be the most obvious additions, but we have some other, non MiniMod modules that will appear first.

What's next for AJH Synth this year?

We have three new modules under development which are earmarked for release later this year, we can’t give too much away yet but we are very excited about them.

Thanks for answering the questions, to finish on where can people find you?

Find us at www.ajhsynth.com and https://www.facebook.com/ajhsynth/ But also, I do try to attend as many synth meets and trade shows as possible and really enjoy being part of the amazing modular community. It’s a great way to meet friends old and new, get feedback from customers and keep up with all of the new developments. This year I will be at Leeds, Brighton and Peterborough synth meets and SOS Synthfest, next year NAMM and Superbooth. So do come along and say hello.
