DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #2 November 2015 | Page 5

Last month I made the overview video for the Sputnik Modular Dual Oscillator, which is seriously cool! My first complex oscillator and I’ve loved it since it came. But I’ve also been having masses of fun with the Sputnik Modular Four Tap Delay and Dual Crossfader. Patch your own dry / wet, patch your own

feedback and crossfade between different delay taps. You can watch the

overview here and check out the Sound Diary video playing around with some sampler fodder style sound design stuff just creating some new sounds. Next up is the ALM Dinky’s Taiko module which really struck a chord with me and ignited some ambition to create a modular drum system. Check it out above creating a variety of different drum sounds and then modulating between various sounds with sequencing. The next module overview above is the Synthrotek MST VCO. A great analogue oscillator with good tracking and a nice saw + 1 (up one octave) to mix in extra harmonics with the other waves. Moving on is the third EWI and modular video with David Hogan. It always feels like it’s too long between these videos as we have good fun creating patches on the modular to play with the EWI. This is one is a Bach Fugue centred around the AJH Minimod system. The penultimate video is a modular jam video “Nightlight” which is a little something I had some fun with. Finally you have the first of a series of videos from Matttech’s latest event.
