flexibility - it’s a great toolbox for whatever you need it to do.
There’s no escaping this is a monster 40 track release! How long did it take to put together? Is it a collection of pieces more long term of was it a focused vision for a project? On the back of that I’d like to say there’s a nice consistent style and vibe that glues together really well as a full listen too, so I’m thinking it might have been put together fairly quickly.
Thanks! I’m glad it feels consistent. I’m somebody who definitely thinks in terms of “an album” rather than just a collection of tracks, and I often spend a lot of time over compiling my albums - so that they sound as if they are one collected work. The bulk of the recording was done from January - September last year, with lots of breaks whilst I worked on other stuff as well. I already had some pieces which I’d created for the weekly Disquiet Junto Challenge that I wanted to include, so it was more of a question of creating additional pieces that continued the vibe that I already had and, where necessary, adding elements to tracks to make them sit nicely together. This was also helped by mostly limiting myself to those 4 hardware synths and the modular for 90% of the sounds, plus of course guitar.
