DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #15 December 2016 | Page 6

The ER-301 from Orthogonal Devices is out and updates in full swing. For those that have missed it, it's essentially a voltage controlled computer for your modular. It's full of multi-channel and multi-function goodness for audio and CV, sampling, lots of DSP and too much to get into here. It's only available direct at the minute as the company are working on the firmware and want to ensure it's perfect before it hits stores. Head to the website HERE to check it out and have a goosey gander around the usual places to check out some user videos. A good place to start would be Richard Devine's Facebook page.

The Rossum Electro Morpheus filter is almost ready for release and brings a whopping 280 filter combinations with it's 14 pole Z plane filters. The 3D filtering and filter types were invented by Dave Rossum for Emu and are now brought into eurorack with full CV control over the 3 dimensional filter. It's stereo in and out and I for one am excited for a new filter experience (I've never used the Emu unit). Information is HERE.

After opening things up for users to submit articles and pretty much anything for the magazine here we are with part 2 of “The Melody Machine” from Dumbledog. He did a great job with part 1 in Issue 14 so check that out if you haven’t.

Last issue I discussed a method I call the Melody Machine: A pseudorandom “sequencer” using an LFO with trigger reset and a quantizer. The basic patch is illustrated below to refresh the memory.
