Left side : At the dive site Tesoro Negro black corals grow and in some places there are yellow colonial anemones , some of in bizarre forms ( photo at the top ). Sand steenbrass ( the fish with the vertical stripes ) can grow up to 45 centimetres of length . They like to swim in small groups
of angel sharks has grown . We divers have a lot more chances to meet these animals . However , the tree corals are present at the dive site El Mirador or at Salinas at any time for sure . Along with the blue of the water making the background of an image , the big white polyps on the blood red trunk are a great photo opportunity as well . This dive requires a bit of experience . The wall with the corals is on the outside of the huge rock which is the one most distant to the main reef . The way to the dop-off ‘ s edge is at about 50 to 60 metres , but its highest level is already in 24 metres depth . Here the vertical wall drops straight down . It ends at about 45 metres in the sandy soil , but one finds the corals without any problem . „ If you compare images from a few years ago with current ones , meanwhile you can see that the coral population has become much bigger ,“ Volker says .
