Photo contest MANTAFEST
Every year in the last week of August and the first week of September , the Manta Ray Bay Resort hosts the international photo contest MANTAFEST . There are awerds like . Dive cruises and other travel prices and diving equipment ..
Mirrorless cameras and cameras with interchangeable lenses start together in one class , compact cameras in a separate class . The best short videos are awarded , too .
The photo categories are big fish , close-up , reef scene , behavior of animals , mandarin fish , land and culture . The videos must not be longer than two minutes . Photos and videos may be edited .

One to three photos can be submitted for each category – but it does not necessarily have to be in every category . For example , you can only participate in the category of people and culture .
Main prizes will be awarded to the best photo of the entire competition , the best photo of each camera class and the best video . The first to third places in each category win valuable diving equipment from Mares ( regulators , computers , etc .). Each submitted photo can generally only win one prize and each participant can win only one travel prize .
