one particular species occurs more frequently while another species can be encountered in other parts of Yap ‘ s enchanting submarine world . Apart from the manta and shark areas , which also includes the Mil ‘ Channel , one of the top dive sites at the island is located at the extreme southern tip of the outer reef : Yap Caverns . The varied topography and diverse fauna make them equally popular with divers and photographers .
At the top of the plateau interrupting the line of the reef ’ s edge there are small dive caves and tunnel passages one can dive through easily and without any problem . In front of that scenery there are large coral towers in the sandy bottom , which is the preferred berth of white tip reef sharks in the western section of the dive spot . Down at the reef wall there is also a cleaning station for sharks at a depth of around 110 feet ( 35 metres ). In fact , there are several such service points for fish at this dive site . Two of them are located on a small coral block . One of them has been visited daily by big sweet lips for years making them yet anotherr unique spot for photographers as well .
