One thing is for certain : The Maldives were never a boring place . After all , there must be a reason why diving and travel magazines always sell better with special features on the Maldives . Yet we decided to focus on just one island . It wasn ’ t before 2017 that a new diving resort opened up at the Raa atoll on Filaidhoo , far north of Male and right in the middle of a fantastic diving area .
