Turtles are regular house reef guests . Even snorkelers have good chances to observe them up close ( left , top ). At the dive spot on the east side of the island there is also a cleaning station , which is visited by feather-tail stingrays ( left , bottom ). There is no guarantee to see eagle rays ton the house reef . But they can be seen on almost every dive at the Sola Corner ( above )
tunnels and small drop-offs . Thanks to its shallow depths and moderate currents the Labyrinth is equally suitable for beginners and advanced divers .
Another impressive location are the Mafaaru Caves . The English name doesn ’ t quite fit though , because they are not caves in the classic sense but long drawn juts . Yet they are quite interesting not least because they can be a bit of a challenge for divers . Alongside its walls and under the roof soft corals grow in all colours of the rainbow . It goes without saying that such topographies are reserved for scuba-divers , unless you happen to be an experienced apnoea diver .
