Lion Reef I + II Five minutes by boat , so can be considered a house reef . Lava and granit form the base here , on which several species of leather coral and small soft corals grow . Populated by schooling fish ( snappers , mullets ), there are snake eels , oriental flying gurnards , peacock mantis shrimps , ghost moray eels , scorpion fish and stonefish , but here is not enough space to list all the creatures . Oh yes – there are also lots of lionfish .

Wreck „ Silver Star “ The former fishing trawler is one of the wrecks that the authorities have sunk as an artificial reef near the coast . This has worked : the wreck is often populated by shoals ( fusiliers , blue-striped snappers , goldspot breams ) and small groups of paeony bulleyes . Also on board : coral groupers , moray eels , scorpion fish and small animals . Because of the bottom depth , some diving experience is good .
• depth 30 – 40 m , visibility up to 40 m , current : none to middle , difficulty : middle
Poison Reef The name speaks for itself – even if it does not mean an acute threat to divers . However , there are actually many marine animals here that are anything but harmless , at least for their prey . These include stonefish , various species of scorpionfish , stingrays and , of course , lionfish . There is also the cone snail with its sting , which indeed is highly poisonous to humans .
