Best Dive Sites Fuerteventura Buceo
Faro de Jandia Dive site at the extreme southern end of Fuerteventura near the lighthouse ; can be dived from land via an old jetty and from a boat . Sounds “ ohhh ” at first , but is possible for all diving levels . Small , maximum 10 metre deep drop off along the coast . Lots of schooling fish , moray eels and sometimes stingrays . Shrimps in the rock , with luck you may find the odd Atlantic dancing shrimp .
• depth : 5-10 m , visibility : 15-30 m , current : none to slow , difficulty : easy
Big Reef of Jandia Boat dive in front of the Morro Jable lighthouse ; simply a must for every diver who has the opportunity . Big fish are ( almost ...) guaranteed , dusky groupers are definitely there , hunting jackfish along the rocks covered in colourful sponges in some places , moray eels and lobsters in crevices . The possibility of a deep-sea dweller swimming past can never be ruled out .
• depth : ca . 15-40 m , visibility : 15-30 m , current : none to moderate , difficulty : easy to moderate
Canyon / Anemone field Boat dive , 5 minutes to go there . Dive for all levels . The site is good for sightings of the pretty little Canary lobster , there are lots of sea anemones , flounders and , with luck , a gold spotted snake eel . Octopus and cuttlefish are common , white-bang cleaner shrimps can be seen from time to time and nudibranchs can also be seen .
