Experience prefered: The Diverland Em-
budu dive centre trusts the same captains
and crews for many years
„Experience as a diving centre manager is
always good in the Maldives. Jürgen and
our entire diving team know the area like the
back of their hand. It couldn‘t be better for our
guests, which of we have many repeaters.“
Since 1986, Diverland Embudu has taken
care that divers enjoy stressless fun at the at
about 40 spots. This is also due to the fact
that the boat crew has been in the service of
the Diverland Embudu for many years, too.
Besides Jan and chief diver Jürgen, who has
also been part of the Embudu team for a long

time, Wolfgang Brak is the third member of
the team. Or better said: the first, because he
founded the diving centre more than 30 years
ago.
The Viennese came to the island at the be-
ginning of the 80s as a holiday diver – and
fell in love with the island and the dive sites.
When soon afterwards the chance arose
to take over the diving centre on Embudu,
he didn‘t think long and quit his job as a
sought-after IT specialist. „I have never re-
