Diversity & Inclusion: What role can Executive Search play? Diversity Inclusion Survey Report | Page 9
“The ‘why’ regarding diverse teams has been
well established and bought in to, now we have
an opportunity to influence and develop the
‘how’ towards achieving it.”
Survey Respondent
Findings show that ‘gender’ followed by ‘ethnicity’ are the two most significant diversity traits to be able to report
on for clients. This is perhaps not surprising given that an increasing number of companies set internal targets on
gender and ethnicity at board and senior leadership level. ‘Industry experience’ was the third most important data
point – whilst this is likely to relate to client requests for candidates with X years’ experience in the same industry
sector, research shows that having leadership with a wide range of industry backgrounds can improve innovation and
reduce group think.
