because companies are actively trying to improve gender ratios (14%)

The majority (74%) believe that is it still harder for women to be
appointed to a senior post, although many believe attitudes are
changing. A small proportion (14%) believe it is currently easier for
a female candidate than a male candidate due to companies actively
trying to improve their gender ratio at senior levels.
