nterventions such as these are intended to increase the likelihood of attracting the widest range of applicants
whilst also ensuring a reduction in inherent bias that may exist in the recruitment process. They borrow from the
concept of ‘nudges’ in behavioural psychology. They are intended to help people make better decisions (more
inclusive/objective and less biased) by altering the system or organizational process. Advances in AI, technology
and reporting are making it easier to implement such nudges and search firms are encouraged to consider how
they could implement them, at least in the early stages of the search process.
