RECRUIT UNDERREPRESENTED AND MINORITIZED STUDENTS AND ENHANCE THEIR RETENTION / PERSISTENCE BY PROVIDING THE SUPPORT AND OPPORTUNITIES NECESSARY FOR THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESS
Gwynedd Mercy University recognizes that inclusive excellence is central to GMercyU ’ s mission to develop students for successful careers and meaningful lives in a global society . Therefore , our student body must reflect the larger community we serve , and we must commit to create strategies that center on creating equitable educational experiences that prioritize the recruitment and retention / persistence of our underrepresented and other minoritized student populations .

Develop , implement , and assess recruitment strategies aimed at achieving greater racial and ethnic diversity and greater diversity of other minoritized populations , among undergraduate and graduate students

Enhance the intercultural and diversity-related proficiency of the Enrollment Management team
Review financial aid policies for equity-minded opportunities that enhance access to higher education for underrepresented and minoritized students
Work toward creating more endowed and scholarship money to recruit and support underrepresented and minoritized students

Complete Campus Pride Index and identify strategies that can help build a more LGBTQ + -friendly campus
Review of honors and other academic programs to enhance underrepresented and minoritized students ’ participation
Support the work of Accessibility Committee including policy development , facility review , and staff and faculty development
