INTRO DIVING RESUMED IN SOUTH SAINAI
The Environmental Affairs , through the Nature Protection Sector , took a decision to resume the implementation of the intro diving activity for tourist establishments during cruises in some locations where the requirements for practicing the activity are met , in terms of the nature of the natural resources therein and the requirements for achieving the maximum degree of safety for practitioners of this activity in the natural reserves located in South Sinai starting from the beginning of December , in response to the tourism sector , in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Governorate of South Sinai , and within the framework of the ministry ' s efforts to achieve sustainable development in the reserves , support eco-tourism activities , preserve natural resources and the tourism position of the region , on the one hand , with the support of workers in the tourism of marine activities . Dr . Yasmine Fouad , Minister of Environment , confirmed , in a statement , that the decision includes the return of the implementation of the intro diving activity ( Intro . Dive & DSD ) in a number of diving sites , namely ( North Lagoon - South Lagoon - Temple - Electricity - Map - White Island ) only . These sites were chosen after carrying out a number of field studies and scientific surveys , and after making sure that they are distinguished by all the appropriate environmental requirements for diving sites to achieve the enjoyment of those involved in diving activities with natural resources .
