New research shows that gray sharks form
long-lasting social bonds, according to a
report published in Proceedings of the Royal
Society B, Biological Sciences.
Researcher Yannis Papastamatio and a team
of scientists from Florida International
University, University of California Santa
Barbara, University of Hawaii and University
of Exeter in the United Kingdom tracked 41
gray coral sharks around Palmira Atoll,
roughly 1,000 miles south of Hawaii.
