Scientific diving may use any diving
modes that is appropriate for the
project. Scientific diving operations
may use free diving, open circuit,
closed circuit, directed surface
supply systems, air-by-air diving or
underwater vehicles that include
respiratory gases used, air, oxygen,
nitrox, trimex, helium, and
experimental mixtures.
