5 . Zero in on your body . Are you hungry , starving or satisfied ? The question may take longer to answer than you think . It takes 15 minutes or more for the message that you ’ re full to get from your stomach to your brain . So let your body tell you when you ’ ve had enough , not your plate . It ’ s better to have food go to waste than your WAIST .
6 . I ’ ll drink to that . How much water should you drink daily ? It is recommended that you follow the “ 8X8 ” rule which means to drink eight , 8 ounce glasses of water daily . Every day you lose water through your breath , perspiration , urine and bowel movements . Every system in your body depends on water . For example , water flushes toxins from your vital organs , carries nutrients to cells and provides a moist environment for eyes , nose and throat tissues .
7 . Keep a food journal . Starting a food journal allows you to identify , relate and monitor the foods you are consuming . Use this as a tool to assist with tracking your goals and stay on target . Remember : Cook , Consume , Chart , Calculate and Celebrate !
Focus on the big picture of health and wellbeing . So do it for yourself , health and your soul .
10 . Lastly , buddy up . Support is a great weight loss motivation technique . Surround yourself with others that genuinely care about you and your weight loss goals . Buddying up with someone else that has a goal of healthy living and weight loss increases accountability and support .
While entertaining a busy schedule can result in unhealthy temptations , it is possible for women to maintain good health despite their daily demands and responsibilities .
