Work Your Plan,

Meet Delilah, the epitome of DIVA. She has a successful and satisfying career, a social network 50 pages long, home, car and great investment portfolio. Her calendar is always full with this or that for herself, children, hubby or sorority. Life looks and sounds grand! Bu wait, what’ s all of this? Stacks of late notices, piles of dirty laundry, empty kitchen cabinets and a refrigerator full of take out containers? Before we continue, let me pause to point out that individually, these are simply signs of a modern day life style, but when added all together they are signs of an unhealthy, unbalanced existence, the beginning of the perfect storm. DIVA’ s please believe me when I say that it is all connected and it must be kept in somewhat of a balance. What it“ IT”? IT is the 4 elements of our Divalicious nature.
PLANNED TASK

Creating a Grocery Budget and Plan Your Work by Shani Tyler Jones

In this writer’ s opinion, those elements are mental, physical, spiritual and resources. They are all connected with each other, one flowing forwards and backwards into each other. The health of each contributes to the health of the whole, thereby defining our overall health as individual DIVA’ s. So how do we achieve this balance or at least begin to develop the balance within our lives AND the life of our family and friends, their imbalance often contributes to our imbalance? One element at a time, one opportunity at time, planning, planning, planning! Until it becomes second nature, and you
STEPS

can clearly see the impact on all elements, living a healthy, organized life requires planning. With that said, let’ s look at some things we can“ plan” that will have a healthy and structured effect on our lives.
BENEFIT REALIZED
By planning ahead and having a budget, you will spend less on food by minimizing or eliminating impulse buying and eating out
Creating a Bill Pay Schedule
Scheduling“ Me” Time
List out what bills you have due each month and what day of the month they are due on. Based on your pay schedule, determine how much you will pay and on what date. If you utilize electronic banking, set up your payments in advance to come out on a certain day. If you pay by mail, write the check, put it in the envelope, put the mail out date on the front of the envelope. Tape it to the front door where you will see it daily so that you can take it out as you leave that day. Also, record in your datebook or planned, what bills are due on what day AND the day you expect the money to be withdrawn from your bank account
Literally, take you’ re your date book or planner and schedule“ me time”. This is time for you to rest, pray, meditate and continue to organize and plan your life
Mental, Resources
Resources, Health, Mental, Spirit
Reduced or eliminated late fees, peace of mind that you have a plan in place, less clutter from stacks of bills laying around. You may potentially find that you have more money or can pay more bills at month end because you have eliminated late fees.
By allotting yourself time to plan to do better, you will do better!!!
