3 Ditchmen September / October

From the President

I hope this note finds you , your family and businesses well . It ’ s been a rough few months for our beautiful state . In the wake of hurricanes Helene and Milton we are experiencing the very best of our industry . Our members are putting in a tremendous number of hours repairing critical infrastructure and sand and debris removal , while others are volunteering to provide basic needs to those impacted . We are grateful .
As you are aware , our President ’ s Cup Golf Tournament was cancelled due to the hurricanes . The proceeds from the tournament go directly to our Advocacy Fund . Now more than ever we need your support . We have a plethora of ways you can contribute , Bidding for Benjamins , $ 250 for 2025 or you can simply click the donate button on our website . If you have any questions regarding our Advocacy efforts , please reach out to Kari Hebrank .
We are a few weeks away from the General Election . Everyone should have received their sample ballets in the mail . Please take the time to educate yourself on the candidates and issues presented . This is a critical election , not only for our industry , but the overall economy . Kari Hebrank has done a phenomenal job of providing us with candidate information . Now is the time to share this information with your employees and encourage them to vote as well .
Finally , I ’ d like to officially welcome Kate McDougall-Mason as our Executive Director . Kate brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit arena . She is working closely with Kari to ensure we continue to strengthen and grow our organization . Please feel free to reach out to Kate to say “ hello ” and let her know what we can do to improve NUCA of Florida .
