Charles McBurney has been awarded the 2014 Don Davis Excellence in Service Award for his “demonstration of integrity, dedication, selflessness, leadership and public service to his constituents and knowledge and appreciation of the construction industry.” NUCA of Florida President Lauren T. Atwell presented the award to Representative McBurney at the Capitol during NUCA of Florida’s Legislative Days event, April 7-8, in Tallahassee.

business attorney elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2007, was delighted to be recognized by NUCA of Florida and its members.
The award was established in 2010 by NUCA of North Florida member Anthony “Tony” Zebouni in memory of the late Representative Don Davis. It is presented annually to a non-member who has made a significant contribution to the industry or chapter, and most exemplifies the life and example of Don Davis. Considerations for this award include an individual’s accomplishments in private life, business, military or public service.
Past recipients of the Don Davis Excellence in Service Award include former Speaker Will Weatherford.
