Elizabeth Fetterhoff Q&A
Elizabeth Fetterhoff is a Florida State
Representative for House District 26
(DeLand). She was elected to represent
the Volusia County district in 2018. She
currently has five committee assignments
in the House – Education Committee;
Agriculture and Natural Resources
Subcommittee; Workforce Development
& Tourism Subcommittee; Children,
Families and Seniors Subcommittee; and
Transportation and Tourism Appropriations
Subcommittee.
Ms. Fetterhoff has been involved in the
political process for over twenty years. She
first started working on campaigns while
in high school and continued working for
various political entities and campaigns
throughout college. She graduated from
Tallahassee Community College with her
A.A. before continuing her education at
Florida State University graduating with a
B.S. in Political Science in 2009.
She continued to pursue her work in the
political process, most recently working for
State Senator Dorothy L. Hukill – District 14
DITCHMEN • APRIL 2019
for five years as her Legislative Assistant.
In her work for the Senator she worked
on various pieces of groundbreaking
legislation that were first in the nation
to pass. These included the Banning of
Biometrics of School Children and Digital
Assets. She also worked on eliminating
the Sales Tax on the Purchase of
Manufacturing Machinery and Equipment
and the Commercial Lease Sales Tax.
Ms. Fetterhoff was in the Florida Army
National Guard from 2011 to 2014 and was
Honorably Discharged. She was a James
Madison Institute – Leaders Fellowship
Class III member in 2016-2017.
Ms.
Fetterhoff is employed as a Government
Affairs Director for the New Smyrna Beach
Board of Realtors.
She currently resides in DeLand with her
husband Christopher Conley and three
cats. She was born and raised in Volusia
County. She is a member of the Rotary
Club of Downtown DeLand and enjoys
volunteering in her community.
