It is amazing how fast time goes by. Once a month a reminder pops on my calendar about this article and I am reminded how quick time has passed. Thinking about time passing and things we need to remember to do before it is too late, here are some we need you to do for the organization:
Vote.
Encourage those who work for you to vote.
Distribute data about the candidates to those who work for you so as to educate them and make their voting decisions informed ones.
Visit at least one local politician this spring. The more they meet with us the more they are aware of our issues.
Send at least one e-mail supporting our issues to a politician you have not had a chance to meet with.
Write a check to out PAC or better yet go to http://nucaflorida.org/ and click on Governmental Affairs then on Pac Donation, you can donate using your credit card. We need a lot of help this year in particular with all the elections being held at the state level. I just made a personal donation, like many of you I am not a company owner, just a working stiff. We all need to support the PAC with more than just a few companies carrying the load.
Contact our PAC Chair, Tony Zebouni and let him know which politicians in your area you see as rising stars on the state level and how they have supported our industry ([email protected])
Get involved, join a committee! Come to a Board meeting!
