With the 2016 Regular Session coming to a close, the focus will now shift to the upcoming elections. With every Senate and House seat up for grabs, many of the races will pit “friends against friends” and they will be expensive campaigns.
NUCA of Florida needs to build up its “war chest” if the state association wants to remain a “player” in the game of politics. Fighting for the industry means we have to have “champions” in both the House and the Senate to lead the charge on behalf of utility contractors and the construction industry.
There’s a truism for those that dabble in politics that states:
“Get into Politics or Get Out of Business.”
In other words, be involved in the state legislative process or risk harm to your business and industry.
