NUCA of Central Florida is pleased to present the
2019 J. Mitchell Ellington Scholarship Recipient:
Krista Kidd is the daughter of Alana & Mark Kidd. She is a recent graduate of Tavares High
School and will be attending Lake Sumter State College in the Fall where she will pursue a
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, before going on to obtain the state license to become a
Nurse Practitioner.
Krista has volunteered over 209 hours at The Cove of Tavares Village Assisted Living &
Memory Care facility and is still volunteering there. She enjoys her volunteer time as well as
swimming and spending time with her family. Krista has lived her life in the spirit of helping
others and will continue to do so in her chosen career.
NUCA of Central Florida is proud to also announce the winners of three additional
Meritorious Scholarships:
Haley Bare who is the daughter of Sherry & Matthew Bare (County Materials). Haley is
studying Family and Child Science at Florida State University.
Kaylee Edwards who is the daughter of Debbie & Scott Edwards (Standard Precast). Kaylee
will also be heading up to Florida State University to study Biology and continue on to the
medical field.
Jacquelyn Molina is the daughter of Antonia & Jesus Molina (Johnson-Davis). Jacquelyn will
be attending Palm Beach State College to study Clinical Psychology, with a second major in
Radiology. She also plans to learn American Sign Language.
