Can you briefly tell us about your
professional background?
BERMAN: I am an attorney. I
practiced commercial litigation and
then went in-house for a bank. I
went back to school and got a
masters in estate planning and
practiced in that area for several
years before running for office.
What inspired you to run for office?
BERMAN: I have always been a
political junkie and policy wonk.
When my youngest child was
graduating from high school
everything fell into place with an
open seat and I decided to run.
What is your favorite travel
location?
BERMAN: South Africa. The cities
are fascinating and the safaris are
astounding.
What are you currently reading?
BERMAN: Boca Grande, FL.
Grill master or reservations
BERMAN: Little Fires Everywhere .
What are your hobbies or interests
outside of work?
BERMAN: Tennis, reading, travel, and
skiing
What is your favorite book?
BERMAN: Gone with the Wind.
What is the secret to your success?
BERMAN: Always doing my
homework and striving to form
relationships.
What would be your dream
vacation?
BERMAN: Antarctica.
What is the one thing about you no
one would guess?
BERMAN: I have been a Miami
dolphin season ticket holder since
1970.
What is your favorite college or pro
team?
BERMAN: Sadly, still routing for the
Dolphins.
What was the first car you drove?
BERMAN: Firebird.
