North Florida ’ s Construction Programs , and other activities that support and encourage young minds to learn and grow . In addition to financial contributions , they have donated numerous hours as mentors , Board and Committee members , and event volunteers . Two organizations that hold a special place in the heart of the entire Petticoat- Schmitt team are the Seamark Ranch , and the Child Cancer Fund . As the first organization adopted by Petticoat-Schmitt , Seamark Ranch has been part of the PSCC family since 2008 . Recognizing the need for Seamark and the nurturing homes they provide for children from families in crisis , Ryan Schmitt has donated countless hours as a Board Member , provided land clearing services for the Ranch ’ s new home sites , and organized PSCC teams for all ten Seamark Mud Runs , various Golf Tournaments , “ Turkey Shoots ” and other activities .
In 2022 PSCC created the first “ Digger Day ” event , hosting families of children fighting cancer , and bringing out the “ big machines ” such as excavators , dump trucks and loaders for the kids to operate under the supervision of a PSCC team member . Providing the families with free food and beverages , face painting , a bouncy house , and other activities to enjoy when they weren ’ t on the machines , Digger Day was instantly a huge hit . This March , Ryan and Lauren raised the stakes even higher by recruiting 28 additional sponsors to participate , of which 15 are NUCA members , and securing more than $ 33,000 in sponsorship funds .
The Mastercraft Build Group , several little leagues and athletic associations , numerous construction-related career programs , and activities offered through NUCA of North Florida , are just a few additional examples of the 45 different charitable organizations and programs supported over the years , with Petticoat-Schmitt ’ s financial contributions reaching $ 250,000 .
