Andrew J . Mayts Award
Clark Cryer is an active contractor member of NUCA of South Florida and has served on the Board of Directors since 2016 . He is Vice President at Johnson Davis with a high demand position . It is truly impressive to see his dedication and involvement with NUCA on the state and local level and he is this year ’ s winner of the Andrew J . Mayts Award .
Many know Clark for his post as the President of NUCA of Florida the past two years , which incidentally he also served as the Chapter President during his tenure ; however , his involvement and accomplishments on behalf of the industry are of a broad scope , including :
■ NUCA of Florida Board of Directors since 2016 and currently serves as President ;
■ NUCA of South Florida Board of Directors and Executive Board and currently serves as President .
■ ASJMSF Bass Fishing Tournament ’ s success is due in large part to Clark ’ s commitment .
■ Winner of NUCA of South Florida ’ s Member of the Year 2018 & Contractor of the Year 2021
Clark ’ s contributions to the NUCA of Florida and NUCA of South Florida Board of Directors involve :
■ Participating and sponsoring all NUCA of South Florida events such as the Annual Scholarship Golf
■ Tournament , Annual Dolphin Fishing Tournament and Annual Clay Shoot ;
■ Attending and supporting all NUCA of Florida events such as Legislative Days , Annual Conference ,
■ President ’ s Cup and Board Meetings ;
■ Serving as President for both NUCA of Florida and South Florida with an excellent attendance record-- . Double duty is definitely award worthy ! And ,
■ Advocating and assisting with relationship -building with local municipalities to address members Concerns and issues ;
Additionally , Clark was instrumental in the success of the annual NUCA of FL / ASJMSF Bass Tournament and was influential in the development of the Public Construction legislation recently passed .
Clark has repeatedly shown his commitment to NUCA by helping to grow our membership , supporting our events , and representing the best interests of South Florida ’ s underground contractors by dedicating his time and efforts to the betterment of the industry in the state . These are just a few examples of how Clark has
demonstrated his overwhelming dedication to NUCA over the last few years . His
